New Trendz Media will introduce Campers to the world of sports journalism. Campers will obtain various skills such as writing, on-air presence, television sports anchoring, editing, interviewing techniques, talk show hosting, play-by-play,  sports research, teleprompter use, and working as part of a team. New Trendz Media’s fun and educational programs will help students grow as people and to act as steppingstones to a professional career in sports journalism. Classes taught by veteran radio and television producers. Campers will write and produce a recorded sports show, similar to shows on ESPN and FOX Sports, to share their talents with friends and family.

AGES 14-18: 12:30 - 2:30 pm

    Location:   SFSO Training Facility  at 120 14th St. San Francisco 

(across from Foods Co)

 All Camp participants over 12 years of age must show proof of vaccination.

Mr. Olson is a 30-year sports broadcaster, and former KNBR Sports Director. He has called over 1,200 games on Radio and/or TV. Pat is also known as "Voice of the Dons" at the University of San Francisco, and is a 20-year High School Broadcasting Educator. He specializes in other skills such as alumni relations, sports promotions, budgeting, team building and much more.


Gregory Bates is a current Ph.D. student that graduated from California State University Los Angeles with a degree in Television & Film & Media Studies and graduated with his Master’s in Business & Leadership. Mr. Bates specializes in scriptwriting for television and film. He is a 2x's Colsac award-winning writer, winning for best screenplay. Currently, Mr. Bates oversees, coordinates, and runs the Film Factory for BFN Networks. The Film Factory is a youth program of young actors and actresses from 7- 24 that has produced various youth projects titled, Our Home, P.O.W, Darryl Jones & the School of Doom part 1 and 2. and The Burbank Film Festival Award-winning Film titled Cookies & Crime.

I understand all tuitions are subject to a 5(five) percent application and convenience fees. $900 tuition and application and convenience fees are due by or on October 8, 2021. All convenience fees and application fees are non-refundable.

CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION I hereby authorize the San Francisco Junior Deputy Program to charge my credit or debit card according to the payment plan identified above for the purpose of paying for all Camp tuition and fees. I have read the aforementioned and fully understand that these charges will continue, and this authorization will remain in full force until the total amount of the financial obligation of $945 tuition fees, application fees, and convenience fees as noted above are fulfilled. I agree that in the event that the charges are denied by the credit card/debit institution identified above for any reason, I will be notified and obligated to pay by other means within three days of such notice. I understand that I will be financially responsible for the payment of late fees and/or penalty fees should the institution assess such charges on San Francisco Junior Deputy Program. I also agree too that the Temporary COVID-19 Refund Policy is subject to change without notice. I will not dispute the San Francisco Junior Deputy.
